Honolulu is home to a fantastic collection of golf courses, the ultimate way to unwind if you’re planning to spend some time on the green during your stay at Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra.

Whether you’re traveling for business and have some time aside for rest and relaxation, or are able to work golf in around family commitments, you certainly won’t be disappointed. There are over 40 public and private courses, many within an hour’s drive of your Honolulu accommodation.

The majority of golf courses along the Oahu coastline overlook the ocean, making the scenery alone spectacular. If you're looking for somewhere close to your Honolulu hotel, the Ala Wai Golf Course is located on Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu, 15 minutes by car. There’s also the Hawaii Kai Golf Club nearby which is great for the whole family, whether you’re a beginner or a more avid golfer and offers the convenience of onsite dining.

If you’re happy to drive a little further out of town and looking to explore Honolulu's top golf courses, you can tee off at the Ko Olina Golf Club, one of Hawaii’s championship courses not to be missed. It’s about a 45 minute drive away and is well worth the trip, with cascading water features and perfectly manicured grounds.

Turtle Bay Fazio is another picturesque course considered one of the best in the region, having been included in the LPGA Tour’s Hawaiian Open and the Inaugural Champions Tour Skins Game. Featuring 18 holes winding through tropical palm trees, it’s a fun shorter course making it easy to fit into a busy schedule.
